Hello everyone!

Soo it’s been a couple weeks since the last blog so here’s a quick recap. We finished up ministry in Peten. Saying goodbye to all the kiddos was really difficult for me but we got to leave them with a party and knowing that in 2 weeks time from when we left another WR team would come see them! The whole squad met in Antigua for 1 week of debriefing everyone/the leaders on how our time was. We did a lot of squad bonding and it was a great time for everyone to see each other again! Then the next week we had training! We got to hear from our amazing leadership team on so many topics and they really just focused on pouring into us. It was an awesome time punctuated by one on ones with the sql’s or squadmates.
Then we hiked acatenengo. A volcano. Who’s idea I don’t know, but we did it. It was pretty cool and cold. Then we packed all of our stuff back up and headed to Romania!
After 4 flights (with each less than 1 hour layovers) and 2 train rides (a total of 33 hours traveling) we made it to our destination, Craiova Romania (BEAUTIFUL PLACE! they have so many Christmas lights and a market up). While we are in all squad month we are all working with the same organization (Hope Church) and living in the same house. 29 people living in one house.
Here’s quick run down of what our ministry days look like here and how we are working with Hope church (I’ll do a full post on Hope Church soon!). Beacaue the hope church that we are working with here in Craiova is still new we’re still in the church planting stage 2. building up the church body here has been big. So one of our main focuses here is street evangelism and pulling in the youths to our many youth programs! We usually come in the morning and do a worship session, then hear a teaching from the pastor of hope Church, have lunch, team time, then head out for street evangelism or any other programs that we might have! I have an after school program that I am part of:) then we head home around 6ish and have a squad dinner! (Each team cooks one night a week for the whole squad)
And thats pretty much a quick rundown of our days here! I’ll do a more in-depth one soon!
Quick note, the blog page will be switching soon (still the same domain and you’ll still be subscribed to me!) But I won’t have access to it for a few days while it’s all happening so if you’d like to contact me do so directly please!
Love you all from Romania!
Jordan Dexter.

  3. Great update Jordan! There will be fun stories coming from your housing situation this month. I’m proud of P Squad for persevering and making the most of all squad month! ox

  4. Jordan!!! My favorite part was “We hiked a volcano. Who’s idea i don’t know, but WE DID IT!” Haha yes we did. It was hard and stretching but such a rewarding experience.
I’m excited to see all the “volcanoes” you hike this year and how you keep relying on the Lord to be your strength!

  5. Church Planting phase 2 -lovvveee it Jordan!

Church planting is if not the comma, then one of the most effective forms of evangelism. So super pumped you are as one squad there in Romania, further establishing and building up the body of Christ. Going out on the streets doing personal/friendship/lifestyle evangelism is so awesome just like Jesus sending out the 12 and the 70 in pairs, back in his day. 85% of people that come to Christ to do so through our personal one on one friendship. Come on Jordan, so proud of you for kicking it for the kingdom and for God, and for others and your own highest joy.

    Great update, keep them coming.
